Orange balloons and a glass of fizz welcomed colleagues and supporters on the evening of Wednesday 12th February as we marked our first anniversary in the South of Scotland and the opening of our new branch right in the heart of Dumfries!

Andrew Richards, our lettings manager in the South of Scotland said: “It’s been brilliant to celebrate a successful first year and reflect on what we’ve achieved and the relationships that have been built. I’m looking forward to making the most of the many opportunities to assist new landlords and tenants throughout the South of Scotland as we work to improve standards in the Private Rented Sector with our ethical approach to letting and property management.”

We were thrilled to be joined by our friends at South of Scotland Enterprise, The National Lottery Community Fund, Dumfries and Galloway Council, Midsteeple Quarter and other supporters from the region to share in this celebration and discuss ideas for future growth.

Last year, we expanded our award-winning model for the private rental sector into the South of Scotland, thanks to funding and support from the National Lottery Community Fund and South of Scotland Enterprise. This funding allowed us to open a Homes for Good branch just off the high street in Dumfries and begin building the team and business in the region.

We end our first year with properties under management throughout Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders, including managing ‘The Standard’, a multi-million-pound development by Midsteeple Quarter revitalising Dumfries town centre, and a diverse portfolio of more rural portfolios all the way to Eyemouth in the Borders.
